GREEN BAY, Wis (CIVIC MEDIA) – It’s smiles all around as players and fans celebrate the 25th annual Green Bay Charity Softball Game. The beloved tradition features some NFL skill with a little backyard fun – and all for a good cause. This year the game benefits Hands of 10ve, a foundation started by Green Bay Packers Quarterback Jordan Love.

“This is your show, not mine,” former game host Green Bay Packers all-time leading receiver and Super Bowl Champion Donald Driver says to Love during a news conference.

Listen to the full news conference here:

The QB launched his foundation one year ago. And it’s officially a hit.

“We’ve been doing some pretty cool things both here in Wisconsin and back home in Bakersfield,” Love explains.

Love lights up when talking about the kids and being able to throw more than just touchdowns, but to also throw love back into the community.

“The cleat drive was my favorite,” he says. “Just seeing the look on their faces when they got their new cleats—it meant everything.”

Driver reflects on the support for events like this along with the long-standing love affair between the team and its fans.

“Even though I retired years ago, it feels like I never left. This is home,” he says. “The day I don’t come back is the day God calls me home.”

The news conference wraps up with a lighthearted look at NFL players in the upcoming Olympic flag football event.

“Never say never,” Driver says about returning to the field—for his country, that is. “I’ll coach. But I’m not catching a single pass.”

And alongside all the fun, the Green Bay Charity Softball Game once again proves why it’s more than a game—it’s a tradition built on heart.
