WISCONSIN (CIVIC MEDIA) – George Wendt, known for his iconic role as Norm on the long-running TV program “Cheers”, has passed away. He was 76.
News of Wendt’s passing comes courtesy of ABC Digital.
Wendt attended Campion High School in Prairie du Chien, Wis., graduating in 1966.
The acclaimed actor was Emmy-nominated six years in a row from 1984 to 1989 in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series category.
