The atmosphere was primed for tornadoes, especially across western Wisconsin. Many rotating wall clouds and funnel clouds were reported along the south central line of storms that lifted up into the Twin Cities metro and eventually Wisconsin.

The NWS Twin Cities says storms peaked in intensity as they tracked into western Wisconsin, resulting in several tornadoes and hail up to 4 inches in diameter.

As the tornado touched down damage was done to outbuildings and barns, roofs ripped off, with trees snapped in many places.

However, the fact that this silo made of cement was lifted and moved, shows how strong this twister got. EF-2 tornadoes range from wind speeds of 111-135 mph.

NWS Twin Cities office also confirmed no evidence of a tornado in Dunn, Barron, and Rusk Counties. Specifically they looked near Colfax, Rice Lake, and Ladysmith. There was pretty significant wind damage to trees and some structures there, but overall it was too broad of an area to consider it tornadic.
