She is a key figure in the Milwaukee Brewers organization. Marti Wronski is also one of very few females to hold a leadership position with a Major League Baseball team. It’s a groundbreaking journey and Wronski joins Maggie Daun, host of The Maggie Daun Show, to discuss the world of sports management and the importance of the team’s far-reaching impact in both Milwaukee and the state of Wisconsin.

The Brewers are not just a baseball team. We are an economic engine for the state of Wisconsin with a multitude of jobs created and significant revenue generated for local communities.

COO Marti Wronski

Wronski is part of a small group of top female MLB executives. The Brewers promoted her to chief operating officer, making her the highest-ranking female executive for the team since Wendy Selig-Prieb ran the club from the late 1990s through the sale to current owner Mark Attanasio.

Wronski is excited about the team’s future both on and off the field. She shares details around some of the challenges and opportunities still ahead this season, including navigating media rights and ensuring fans can access the team’s broadcasts. Wronski also talks about Bob Uecker, the voice of the Brewers, who remains a beloved figure in the organization.

“Bob was the kind of person who made everyone feel like they belonged,” she says. “One of my first interactions was early in my career. His kindness and encouragement left an indelible mark on me, as it has on countless others over the years.”

And there are celebrations in the works in honor of Uecker’s legacy. This includes a special event on August 24th for his decades-long contribution to the team and the city of Milwaukee.

Wronski’s goal is to continue leading with passion and purpose. And the Brewers presence in Milwaukee remains a testament to the power of sports as a way of bringing people together, creating economic growth, and leaving a lasting impact on future generations.

“The Brewers are not just a baseball team,” she explains. “We are an economic engine for the state of Wisconsin with a multitude of jobs created and significant revenue generated for local communities.”
