Human Remains Discovered in Town of Leon

WAUSHARA COUNTY, WI- (WISS) – The Waushara County Sheriff’s Office is investigating skeletal human remains found in the Town of Leon on Thursday (March 13, 2025) evening.

Sheriff’s officials say the dispatch center received a call of human remains found in the area of County Road EE between Blackhawk Avenue and 26th Court.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice – Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), Wisconsin State Patrol, Wisconsin Crime Laboratory, and the Washara County Medical Examiners Office are working with Waushara County officials to identify the individual. 

The Waushara County Sheriff’s Office will release more information if it becomes available.
