Wisconsin Dells won a WIAA boys Sectional Semi final game played in Richland Center last night over Platteville 72-63.

The Chiefs never trailed as they went up 34-18 at halftime. Trailing by 20 points at 38-18, Platteville made a dramatic comeback and tied the game at 45 with just under 9 minutes to play. The Chiefs than went on a 10-0 run and held a lead for the rest of the game.

The victory avenged a loss to Platteville in December and last year in the Sectional Semi Final game.Post player Jaren Ward led Wisconsin Dells with 20, and Isaiah Hanna-Funmaker added 18 as the Cheifs improved to 22-5. Lucas Ludlum had 23 in his final basketball game for Platteville, and Myron Reuter added 18.The Hillmen end the season the champion of the Southwest Conference and a Regional titelest. Their final season record is 19-8.

Following the 72-63 win, Wisconsin Dells will play in the Sectional Final game against Lake Mills which won72-60 over Edgerton on Thursday night.

Saturdays game will start at 1 pm at Baraboo High School.
