CALEDONIA, Wis. (Civic Media) – A 15-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday night in connection with the death of his mother at their Caledonia home, police said.

Officers responded to a residence in the 10000 block of East White Manor Court around 10:34 p.m. after reports that a juvenile may have killed his mother. When officers arrived, they say they found the teenager exiting the front door. He surrendered without incident.

Inside the home, police found an adult woman dead. Lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful. The preliminary investigation indicates the victim died from stab wounds and blunt-force trauma, according to authorities.

The teenager remains in custody as the investigation continues.
