GREEN BAY, WI- (WGBW) – Starting Thursday, February 6, 2025, Aurora Health Care will stop operating clinics at various Walgreens stores in Wisconsin, including five in the Milwaukee area.

The QuickCare clinics first operated in Walmart Supercenters when they opened in 2004. In 2009, 19 clinics were closed, and in 2017, the clinics were moved to Walgreens stores.

Aurora said in a statement that it would work with Walgreens on the transition and would support clinic employees to help them find other roles within the health care system.

“This allows us to focus on additional ways patients prefer to access care, when and where they need it, including expanded virtual services that provide care within the comfort of their own home, as well as convenient access to urgent care and primary care locations in the community,” the statement read.

The other five Aurora clinics in Walgreens stores that are closing are in the Milwaukee area:

  • 2205 N. Calhoun Road, Brookfield
  • 11270 N. Port Washington Road in Mequon
  • 6030 W. Oklahoma Ave., in Milwaukee
  • 2985 S. Chicago Ave, in Milwaukee
  • 10800 W. Capitol Drive in Wauwatosa

The three clinics affected in Northeast Wisconsin include:

  • 2301 S. Oneida St. in Ashwaubenon
  • 464 Cardinal Lane in Howard
  • 950 S. Koeller St. in Oshkosh
