President Trump Signs Pardon for Pulaski Man for Jan. 6th Actions

WASHINGTON D.C.- (WGBW) – A Pulaski man will benefit from an executive order signed by President Donald Trump during his first few hours in office yesterday. The President spent the day signing dozens of executive orders on everything from renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America to issuing a full pardon to the 1500 people convicted of crimes related to the events at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.

“So this is January 6th. And these are the hostages,” said President Trump in the signing ceremony, “Approximately 15 hundred for a pardon. Full pardon.”

One of those pardoned is Riley Kasper of Pulaski who was sentenced to 37 months in prison for assaulting police officers at the Capitol. The Department of Justice says Kasper bragged on social media about his actions that day. “I pepper-sprayed three cops so bad they got undressed and went home…” Kasper wrote.

Kasper was arrested on March 16, 2023 and was sentenced to prison on February 6, 2024. Kasper is currently being held at FCI Milan, which is located near Ann Arbor, Michigan. The Federal Bureau of Prisons website lists his release date as 11/2/2026. That is expected to change soon.

Ten other Wisconsinites are also pardoned of their convictions. They include:
