UPDATE: Green Bay Police Department said they have identified three persons of interest concerning two reported threats referencing potential school shootings at Green Bay East & West high schools.

GBPD detectives spoke with the individuals identified and have determined there is no ongoing threat to schools at this time; however, as a precautionary measure, police will continue investigating.

The GBPD does not plan any further releases.

GREEN BAY, WI- (WGBW) – An increased police presence will be at Green Bay East and Green Bay West High Schools today as authorities investigate a threat.

The Green Bay Area Public School (GBAPS) District says it is working with the Green Bay Police over a threat of potential school shootings at both Green Bay East and West High Schools. GBAPS said the increased police presence is precautionary and for the safety of the students and staff.

“Student and staff safety is our highest priority, and we take every threat seriously,” GBAPS said in a Facebook post.

No further details have been released by the school district or by the police department.
