RACINE, Wis. (WRJN) — Two separate fatal incidents in Racine left two men dead over the weekend, police said Monday.

On Saturday, Racine Police heard gunfire near 7th and Villa streets around 7:05 p.m. Three minutes later, they found Jeffrey Garrott, 41, with a gunshot wound in the 1000 block of Villa Street. Garrott died from his injury. No suspects have been identified.

In a Friday night incident, police responded to a report of a man down in the 600 block of N. Memorial Drive at 6:31 p.m. They discovered Dwayne Carr, 44, between two parked vehicles. Carr was taken to a hospital where he later died.

Minutes after finding Carr, a 19-year-old woman called police saying she had hit someone in the same area. She is cooperating with investigators. Charges are pending toxicology results.

Police urge anyone with information about either incident to contact them.

For the Garrott case, call Investigator Simon at 262-635-7770.

For the Carr case, call the Investigations Unit at 262-635-7756.

Anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 262-636-9330 or via the P3 Tips app.
