Update: At Least 85 Felt Symptoms of THC-Laced Pizza from Stoughton Restaurant

MADISON, Wis. (WMDX) – Public health officials reported at least 85 people had symptoms after eating THC-laced pizza from a Stoughton restaurant in October. 

As we previously reported, a staff member from Famous Yeti’s Pizza was cooking in a shared industrial kitchen, where people have their own separate kitchen rooms. When they ran out of cooking oil, they went searching for some from one of their neighbors. They grabbed what they thought was cooking oil, but was actually THC oil. 

That’s according to Public Health Madison Dane County. The THC oil was legal. 

Health officials had said they started to put together what happened after someone went to the ER saying they had eaten at Famous Yeti’s, and felt like they’d eaten an edible. 

A new report from PHMDC says at least 85 people had symptoms, and more than 30 had to seek medical attention. It impacted people from age 1 to 91. That includes women who were pregnant or breastfeeding. 

At first they thought it only affected pizza, but now they know the THC made it into sandwiches and cheese bread, too.
