Oshkosh Celebration of Lights kicks off its 23rd year

OSHKOSH, WI- (WISS) – The Oshkosh Celebration of Lights kicked off its 23rd season Friday, bringing the joy and lights of the holiday season to the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) grounds. 

The Celebration of Lights is a much-anticipated event that has become a beloved tradition in the Fox Valley, attracting families and visitors from across the region.

In 2023, Celebration of Lights saw a record turnout, with more than 22,000 vehicles passing through, marking an impressive 60% increase in attendance over the previous year. The event continues to grow in popularity, promising even more magical experiences for 2024.

The EAA grounds again sparkle with over 1 million lights across many themed displays, creating a winter wonderland perfect for family outings, date nights, and holiday memories. Visitors can look forward to returning favorites, such as the 100-foot Christmas Tree and Santa’s Lodge.

Event Highlights:

Location: EAA Grounds, 1858 Neunteufel Ave, Oshkosh, WI 54902

Dates: Now  – December 31, 2024

Hours: 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. daily, weather permitting

Admission: $20 per vehicle. Receive $5.00 off with a donation of a sealed hygiene item (shampoo, deodorant, soap, etc.) or non-perishable, in-date food items.

Some helpful things to note about the Celebration of Lights:

  • Turn off the headlights after entering the light show.
  • Entrance huts take cash and credit/debit cards
  • Visits with Santa are nightly from 5:30 to 8:30 until December 23rd.
