RACINE, Wis (WRJN) – The ‘15th Annual Dan & Ray Rendering Thanks‘ Thanksgiving Dinner is set for Thursday at Festival Hall. Organizers are still looking for volunteers and sponsors to help with the effort.

The annual event provides a free Thanksgiving meal to those in need and the people putting the thing together say needs in the community have grown more dire in recent years, with donations down and costs rising.

“Unfortunately the needs after all these years seems more dire in our community,” the event invitation states. “Donations to organizations are down and the costs of everything including groceries is ridiculously high.”

Volunteers can sign up on the Rendering Thanks Racine Facebook page. People that can help with financials can get contact information on that website.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
