In a recent edition of WFHR’s Mid-Day Magazine Quality Plus Printing’s Phil Hartley paid a visit to host James J. Malouf to discuss his most recent effort to give back.
Laura BerghEach year Quality Plus Printing and other local sponsors create a Season of Giving coloring book. This is not just an ordinary free coloring book. It is part of a small business and community led effort to help support our local United Way. Since 2022 Quality Plus Printing has been producing these Coloring Books. This year there will be 2000 Season of Giving coloring books printed. Once printed, they will be distributed to local youth support organizations, and will be given away at local holiday parades. In its first year this fundraising effort collected over $4000 to benefit the United Way’s Youth Support programs. That donation has only grown exponentially since. Each Season of Giving book is uniquely designed by Quality Plus Printing staff. On the back of each copy you can find all of the year’s sponsors.
As part of the work done by the United Way funding is provided for youth support groups. Funding goes to things like the Boys and Girls Club, Stuff the Bus, and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. These and other groups geared towards youth success are crucial for the support of many families in the area. These groups help even more children achieve their education goals. Filling in the gaps like this help safeguard our community and help it prosper for generations to come.
