Price County Sheriff Brian Schmidt reports his office is conducting a death investigating near the area of State Highway 13 and Whitby Road in the Township of Hackett.
On November 3, 2024, at approximately 8:56 p.m., a deceased individual was located along State Highway 13. A portion of State Highway 13 is currently closed.
There is no known threat to the community. This is an ongoing investigation. Additional information will not be released at this time.
Agencies assisting the Price County Sheriff’s Office with this investigation include Prentice Fire Department, Department of Criminal Investigation, Price County Coroner, Vilas County Sheriff’s Office and Rhinelander Police Department.
