WAUSAU, Wis. (WXCO) – There’s no better spot to see the rich oranges, reds and yellows than from the highest lift serviced vantage point in the entire state of Wisconsin.

Granite Peak’s Fall Scenic Rides have been extended for one more week.

The General Manager says that they made the decision because the fall foliage is taking its sweet time on the mountain.

They were planning to shut down operations this past weekend on October 13th. Now, the final weekend will be Friday, October 18th through Sunday, October 20th.

Tickets cost anywhere from $15 to $18 and can be purchased on their website.

Rides run on Friday, Saturday and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Riders can also get off at the top and walk the trails, before heading back down the lift and leaving.

You can also head to the Historic Chalet or on the deck for some burgers, brats, fall draft selections, yummy sweets for the kids and more!
