BRISTOL, Wis. (WRJN) — Military veterans and their families have the opportunity to climb for free.  The offer stands during a special event Friday at Boundless Adventures in Bristol Woods Park.

The annual Veterans Climb is open to active-duty military, reserve component personnel, and veterans, plus up to two family members each. Two-hour climbing sessions will be available from 3:30 to 10 p.m.

The event will include refreshments and guest speakers during a 6 p.m. ceremony. Representatives from various veterans’ organizations will be present to share information about available resources.

Civilians can purchase tickets for $45, with all proceeds benefiting American Legion Post 21 in Kenosha. Registration is required due to limited availability.

Boundless Adventures, operating in partnership with Kenosha County Parks, has offered free military and veterans climb events since 2019. Owner Brian Funtleyder expressed pride in supporting veterans, stating, “It’s our small way of saying, ‘Thank you for your service to our country.'”

The Kenosha County Division of Veterans Services is partnering in the event. More information and registration links are available here.
