KENOSHA, Wis. (WRJN) — The Kenosha Unified School District will host a multi-agency exercise on Tuesday, July 30, at Bullen Middle School. The event, running from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., aims to assess emergency response skills and plans for community crisis situations.
Participating agencies include the City of Kenosha Fire and Police Departments, Department of Justice, Kenosha County Emergency Management, Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department, and Village of Pleasant Prairie Police Department.
Sgt. Chris Hannah, director of Emergency Management, emphasized the importance of collaboration between schools, law enforcement, fire services, and emergency management in preparing for potential crises. He noted that the exercise will help build relationships and improve communication channels for swift and effective responses in real emergencies.
People in Kenosha are being told to expect an increase in emergency response vehicles around Bullen Middle School during the exercise. Drivers are urged to avoid the area to ensure safety and minimize disruption.
