APPLETON, WI – (WISS & WGBW) – Even more rain fell in an already water-logged area on Saturday, which led to more localized street and yard flooding. The additional rain prompts, Outagamie County and the City of Appleton to encourage residents to report flood damage to 2-1-1.

The National Weather Service reports 1 to 3.5 inches of rainfall hit parts of Outagamie County Saturday evening. This came in addition to a round of flash flooding just over a week prior.

Outagamie County and the City of Appleton are partnering with the United Way to collect damage reports from residents. Residents can call 2-1-1 to report flood damage in and surrounding their homes. This announcement comes ahead of more predicted storms on Monday, July 15th.

A press release from Outagamie County’s Emergency Management Department says officials are looking for any potential support resources that might now be available following Governor Tony Ever’s order declaring a state of emergency for Outagamie, Calumet, Waupaca, and Winnebago Counties.

Officials recommend residents continue documenting the flood damage with photos and keeping any receipts for their clean-up efforts in case funding becomes available.

For additional resources, residents can visit the Wisconsin Department of Climate and Health Program Flood Preparedness Toolkit for helpful information on flood safety and recovery: https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/publications/p0/p00631.pdf
