Wausau welcomes their first female K-9 Officer

WAUSAU, Wis. (WXCO) – Just in time for Women’s History Month, once they complete training, the new pup will be presented.

The Wausau Police Department is excited to announce that Officer Kathryn Cross will be serving as the next K-9 Handler for the Wausau PD K-9 Unit.

Officer Cross is the first woman to be a K-9 Handler at the Wausau PD.

More about Officer Cross and her new K-9 partner (K-9 ______ #K17) will be released once they have completed their training courses.
