Green Bay man advances to finals in Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions
Chan will appear in final matches starting Tuesday, March 12th.
GREEN BAY, WI – (WGBW/WISS) – Ben Chan, a philosophy professor at St. Norbert College in DePere advances to the finals in the Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions following a win in his semifinal match Thursday.
Chan, of Green Bay, defeated Jared Watson and Ike Barinholtz to ensure his spot in the finals. While he didn’t collect as much money as he did in his quarterfinal match, he did accumulate $9,599. His win makes the 11th time he has come out on top since his first appearance on Jeopardy in May of 2023.
His opponents in the upcoming finals matches will be determined after matches today (March 8, 2024) and Monday.
Chan will return to the Tournament of Champions on Tuesday, March 12th when the finals begin. The finals are a best-of-seven series of matches. The winner of the Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions will pocket $250,000 and will have the chance to compete in the prime-time Jeopardy! Masters tournament in May.
Jeopardy! Airs locally on Fox 11 at 6 pm.
