TWO RIVERS, WI. (WGBW, WISS) –  The search for a 3-year-old Elijah Vue enters week two in Manitowoc County with few details and heartfelt pleas for information.

Two Rivers Police Chief Ben Meinnert held a press conference yesterday to update the media and the public. In addition to the Manitowoc Crime Stoppers reward of $1000, Meinnert says the FBI is now offering a $15,000 reward for information leading to the location and return of Elijah or the arrest and conviction of individuals involved in his disappearance.

“We are doing everything in our efforts, believing that he is still out there, we will find him and bring him home,” said Meinnert.

No new details or information about the search were discussed during the press conference. Meinnert said he cannot comment on the investigation for fear of hindering the case against any individuals that may be involved.

Elijah’s family also appeared at the press conference begging for anyone with information to come forward.

“Every piece of information will help bring us one step closer to bringing Elijah back; back to our family where he belongs,” said the toddler’s aunt, Linda Vue.

Emotions were running high for all involved in the press conference, not just the Vue family. Manitowoc County Sheriff Dan Hartwig became choked up near the end of the press conference.

“Everybody’s seen that kid’s photo,” said Hartwig. “It’s pulling at everybody’s heartstrings. We need to find him. Somebody knows something.”

Local, state, and federal agencies are following up on the hundreds of tipis that have been left on the tip line. Meinnert says they will continue to do so.

“It doesn’t matter how small that lead or tip may be,” said Meinnert. “Please contact our tip line, because we will get people out there to follow up on any lead, any lead whatsoever.”

The tipline number is 844-267-6648.

The toddler’s aunt also had a message for Elijah.

“Elijah, If you can hear us, know that you are deeply missed and loved, and we will not rest until you are safely back in our arms,” said Vue.

The entire press conference is available to watch on the Two Rivers Police Department Facebook page

Elijah’s mother, Katrina Baur, is being held on a charge of child neglect and two charges of obstruction. Jesse Vang, who prosecutors have said Elijah was staying with for “disciplinary reasons” is also being held on a charge of child neglect.
