WAUSAU, Wis. (WXCO) – One of the most anticipated and cherished events in the Wausau area, is set to illuminate the skies once again.

The Taste N Glow Board of Directors is thrilled to announce that the festival will be held during the weekend of July 12th & 13th, in the scenic Town of Stettin. Community members and visitors are encouraged to mark their calendars for this spectacular event.

The Taste N Glow Balloon Festival has long been a staple in the local calendar, drawing crowds from across the region to witness the breathtaking spectacle of glowing balloons under the night sky, paired with an exquisite taste of local cuisine.

Steve and Nancy Woller started the Wausau Balloon Rally in 2002. It became what we know now as, Taste N’ Glow Balloon Fest. Last year the land owner of the event announced that he wanted to sell. Woller worked hard to raise funds to purchase that property. But ultimately came up short to find a new location for the event, which takes about 120 acres. With the threat of no fest looming…

This year, the Board of Directors just announced they are committed to upholding the legacy and tradition of the event, promising an unforgettable experience for all attendees.

They are currently in the planning stages and are working quickly to ensure that this year’s festival surpasses all expectations. They say that people can look forward to a weekend filled with mesmerizing balloon glows, gourmet food offerings, and a variety of entertainment options suitable for all ages.

“We are excited to bring back the Taste N Glow Balloon Festival for another year,” said a spokesperson for the Taste N Glow Board of Directors. “This event is a testament to the spirit and beauty of our community. We are dedicated to creating a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.”

Further details regarding the event schedule, ticketing information, and participating vendors will be announced soon. The Board of Directors also hints at the launch of a new website dedicated to the festival, which will serve as the primary source for all related information and updates.
