Nominations are open now for the Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce 76th Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet. Our chamber in Wisconsin Rapids has a mission to strengthen the economy and enhance the quality of place. This dynamic investor organization is comprised of non-profit, educational, government, and small and large businesses. Our chamber has over four hundred members currently. The nomination form includes the criteria used in the selection process and nominees cannot have received the award in the past four years. Nomination forms are due to the chamber by January 13th. The 76th Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet will take place at The Ridges Banquet Hall on Wednesday March 6th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. You will need to RSVP by February 21st by emailing Lacy Alling at communications@wisconsinrapidschamber.com

Promise Bakken Marketing Communications Director for the Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce spoke with James Malouf on December 29th during Mid-Day Magazine. Promise shared that the Chamber of Commerce has gift certificates available that can be used at any chamber investor businesses. In addition to talking about the Teen Leadership Program and Community Leadership Programs that run throughout the year, Promise revealed the networking event, Off the Clock, is going to be renamed Networking at Night. The Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the first event will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at The Spot owned by Jacoby Custom Cues in Nekoosa on January 15th. The revamped monthly event is expanding to include more opportunities to network, mixers, and Q & A’s.
