These are some of the local radio stations in our company who take tremendous pride in delivering state, regional and local news to our readers and listeners. Local News Day is a national campaign focused on creating awareness of the importance local news plays in keeping you informed and aware of what’s happening (in places other than Washington DC).

Here’s how you can participate

• Post a message of support on social
  media (tag @LocalNewsDay and use #LocalNewsDay
• Shout out a local newsroom or reporter you think is making an impact

And it doesn’t have to be a Civic Media newsroom. Anybody who is passionate about local news matters, and they, whoever they are, appreciate your support.

Local News Day is not a fundraising
campaign

Local News Day is a national day of action to celebrate and strengthen trusted local news and information. Modeled after movements like Giving Tuesday, it inspires millions of people to reconnect with their local outlets through subscriptions, support, and engagement.
