Vernon County Long-Range Plan open for review
VERNON COUNTY, WIS (CIVIC MEDIA) – Vernon County residents are encouraged to review the Draft Long-Range Plan for 2026-28 and share feedback through the County’s community survey by this Friday (September 12).
The draft outlines a roadmap to build a better future for residents, families, and generations to come. The plan reflects the County’s mission to enhance quality of life, safeguard health and safety, and protect the region’s rural character through responsible stewardship and transparent governance.
The new plan identifies priority areas for each year, including in
2026: Priority-based budgeting, infrastructure improvements, fiscal responsibility, affordable housing, and tourism development.
2027: Enhanced public safety, childcare development, economic growth incentives, succession planning, and environmental conservation.
2028: Strengthened crisis intervention, expanded higher education opportunities, and improved countywide service culture.
Input from the survey will help refine implementation strategies and ensure that County priorities align with the needs of Vernon County residents.
