The Butcher's Kid John Nelson grew up as the Butcher's kid and his father along with his uncles fueled his passion for music growing up. John is releasing a new album "Choice Cuts" and is in the Max Ink Radio studio to perform new songs and talk about his music.

Now independently writing, recording, and performing on their own, No Limit is releasing their first full length record.

A story teller at heart, Travis was inspired by the school shooting at Abundant Life Christian School late last year and felt compelled to support the community in light of the tragedy. Travis collaborated with talented artists, musicians and community members to write a song and create a video as part of that mission.

Marta writes about complex issues and has finished production of a video for her song “Bang Bang” that deals with the sobering thought of school shootings from a mother’s perspective.

Telling the story as only she can is Marta Hansen.

Make that 2 feature films. Austin is releasing his second feature film “Sanguine Teeth on a Driftless Road” and will premiere at the Marcus Palace Cinema in Sun Prairie on June 7th.

Brett Newski is based in Milwaukee but has been touring the world full-time for more than 12 years.

He says after taking a hard look at the money he makes from streaming, he will NOT be adding his new album to any of the services when it comes out in May.

And he tells Teri Barr, he's feeling good about his decision.

He hopes other independent musicians will join him what he calls "taking action against what's just a big scam."
