(Baldwin, Wis.) — Civic Media has relaunched WDMO “Thunder Country 95.7,” broadcasting from Baldwin, WI, as WSCM “St. Croix Country.” The country-formatted music station plays classic country legends at 95.7 FM for the St. Croix Valley.

“We are excited to add another country-formatted music station to our growing Wisconsin network,” said Sage Weil, CEO of Civic Media. “While St. Croix Country leads with excellent music, over time it will evolve into more of a full-service station, incorporating local news and local sports into its programming.”

Civic Media is dedicated to providing quality broadcast and digital hometown radio with a focus on local, regional, and state issues, covering the stories that are most relevant to the communities we serve. We believe radio plays a crucial role in our local communities, so we broadcast quality local news, local sports, and open, honest commentary that advances the understanding and engagement of our audience.

Although most of Civic Media’s stations are News/Talk formatted, WSCM is the third (country) music-formatted station in the network, and will not be the last. Its other country stations are WRCO (“Country and Community”) in Richland Center and WIRI (“WisCountry”) in Nekoosa/Wisconsin Rapids.

As of today, St. Croix Country incorporates CBS news at the top of every hour. State and local news will be added soon. In additional to the terrestrial broadcast at 95.7 FM, WSCM can also be heard via the Civic Media or TuneIn apps, or on the station’s website at https://stcroix.country.

“We believe radio has a crucial role to play in helping local communities stay connected,” added Weil, “but we aim to meet listeners wherever they are. All of our stations are available to stream online via connected cars, phones, and smart speakers, while our shows are available immediately after broadcast on popular podcasting platforms like Spotify and Apple Podcasts.”

Civic Media is as growing radio network with stations in Madison/Columbus, Green Bay, Oshkosh, Waukesha/Milwaukee, Richland Center, Wausau, Wisconsin Rapids, Nekoosa, Amery, Baldwin and Hayward. and continues to expand across the state.
